and all within one and one-half miles of one another. Maybe that's why parts of
"Last of the Mohicans" was filmed here at Dupont State Forest. For the
photographer, the diversity and perspectives are second to none, and everyone
will enjoy the thrill of standing beneath a waterfall or a swim beneath Hooker
Falls. This hike is suitable for people of all ages and ability levels.

Referred to as, 'The Yosemite of the East,' Panthertown Valley is an
outdoorsman's dream come true. With 6,700 acres of wilderness to explore this
valley has something for everyone. With the terrain being much more
accommodating for the light-at-heart hiker, the valley offers scenes that one
would find in a storybook. Three mountains with sheer rock faces upwards of 300
feet apiece looking down on the valley, miles of trout rivers waiting to be
fished, countless waterfalls with swimming holes lurking around each corner.
