In order to attend CHOA's events you must first become a member. Members see all information related to the event including detailed directions to the event location, who is attending and a way to send an online message to the leader or anyone signed up.
This 13 mile loop starts at 5,700 feet elevation and goes along the back side of the Cataloochee Ranch where we will have great views before descending to 3,200 feet to where we will camp about 8 miles into the hike. In the morning the first 2.5 miles will climb 2,500 ft with the last 2.5 miles being flat. We will camp by a river, so water will be available. Since this is in the park, they limit the permit to 10 and no dogs are allowed.
