You must be able to keep up and feel comfortable riding on gravelled section of greenway. I plan on riding at 14/15 mph at least to get some calories burning and have a great workout in the process. The total mileage is 14.5 round trip.
Let`s get out on the Greenway and burn some calories!!! We`ll depart from the soccer field parking lot at Kirk Farms (Be sure to secure your valuables in a safe place out of site - some breakins happen here occassionally.) and ride the Greenway out and back. Although we`ll be riding hard, we`ll stop at several points for a quick rest, water and to make sure everyone is keeping up and bikes/people are still OK.
Bring:
Bike - Mountain or Hybrid with knobby tires
Helmet - REQUIRED - we`ll be riding fast and hard
Water or Gatoraide - it will probably be hot and sweaty despite the mostly tree-covered paths - be sure to bring enough!
*****NOTE: Although we`ll be riding hard and fast - PLEASE slow down and be cautious around blind corners, curves and around pedestrians - kids especially are unpredictable. ***********
