Welcome to the largest remnant of old-growth floodplain forest remaining on the continent! Experience national and state champion trees, towering to record size amidst astonishing biodiversity. We will paddle within this dynamic floodplain ecosystem. Beauty and tranquility reign supreme in the midst of this natural treasure.
We will join the tour offer by park ranger at 9AM. Therefore the group will need to meet and depart by 7AM on Sunday. CHOA will provide kayaks, paddle and PDFs.
What to wear: synthetic clothes (none cotton). water shoes or sandals. Bring bug spray, sun screen, food for lunch and plenty of water.
